    MSME Policies Of Gujarat

    The Gujarat Government MSME Policies to ensure development of all sectors, with special focus on women and SC/ST Entrepreneurs.

    IN FINANCIAL SECTOR:

    1. Interest subsidy (R&D,assistance for technology upgradation, environment protection)
    2. VC assistance (through GVFL Limited) – supports especially tech+ innovative ideas
    3. Rehabilitation package
    4. Merit-based package to projects in identified sectors
    5. Special investment regions
    6. Technology Acquisition Fund
    7. Facilitating hassle-free credit, for meeting investment and working capital requirements

    SUPPORTING INSTITUTIONS/ INITIATIVES:

    1. Develop ancillary and auxiliary industries
    2. Capacity building of cluster enterprise (e.g. tech upgradation , skill training, common facilities, workshops, incubation center, etc.)
    3. Infrastructure Development (GoI grant covering upto 60% of cost, up Rs 10.00 crore, excluding cost of land)
    4. Cluster initiatives (e.g. common procurement, common negotiations on price)
    5. Common Facility Centre having machinery and equipment for critical process (GoI grant covering upto 70% of cost, max Rs 15.00 Crore)
    6. 24/7 Electricity
    7. Export promotion

    MARKETING / COMPANY LEGITIMACY:

    1.Marketing support

    1. Quality certification assistance
    2. Market development, especially for handloom and handicrafts (e.g. “Made in Gujarat”)
    3. Trade fairs to access new/ global markets
    4. Encourage global firms to invest in the state
    5. Promotional exhibitions
    6. Collective marketing

    RESEARCH/ INFO DISSEMINATION:

    1. Fin assistance for diagnostic studies of sick units
    2. Support of R&D institutions
    3. Sponsored/subsidized research
    4. Diagnostic study report (with GoI grant)
    5. Detailed Project Report for preparation of a technical feasibility and financial viability project report (with GoI grant)

    SC/ST Policies:

    1. Soft Interventions and Hard interventions are given grants of 80/90% of project cost, max Rs 25.00 (as opposed to 60/75%), if the clusters has 50% micro/village, women owned, and SC/ST units (and in NE & Hill states)
